Oatmeal cookies

A friend of mine shared a recipe for oatmeal cookies, so I took some time off from embellishing today to bake them. Yum!! I think these may be the best I've ever had. I don't know if any will be left after my grandchildren come sample them, so I took a picture right away. ;)

The recipe called for raisins, but I used dried cranberries instead, since I had some on hand that needed to be used.

  1. Oh, these look really good! Too bad I live so far away.

  2. Hello

Yes the cookies do look very yummy....This is ways off topic, but I just adore the Baravelle spiral quilt you made in April of 2008(sorta reminds me of a spider's web). I had stummbled apon it in search of the perfect quilt pattern for my friend.
See, she was married on Halloween in 2006 and has yards of all sorts of prints of Halloween theamed fabric. She has a fasination with all things Halloween, and seeing this quilt that looks soooo much like it would be the most perfect fit for her personality and the fabrics.
I am wondering if you could share the pattern with me,or tell me as much as you can about how to piece it together. as I have been very unsuccessful finding it online. I have been searching for a few weeks now without luck.

Anyways I would appreciate it so very much.

  3. Connie, the pattern came from a book a dear friend of mine wrote called Geometrical Quilts, by Pat Storey. It's available on, and the instructions in it are really, really good! I can highly recommend the book! :)

I really enjoy seeing comments and read them all, so please feel free to post here.
